2 Tandems in production

The two tandem frames, LeJonet, that feature in February’s Valentine window and the Jack Taylor went off to get resprayed some time ago.  It’s been an interesting job to first get the right colour combination, select the right components, get the frame modifications agreed then work on the existing components.  The LeJonet customer wanted nickel plating but that has proved to be very expensive.  I’ve experimented with alternatives but I cannot achieve the same affect.  The cranks are 1/2 inch and there is probably not enough metal to support drilling and rethreading to 9/16s so we will use adaptors.  In comparison the Jack Taylor is straight forward although the lug lining seems to be the part that takes the longest.

We are really looking forward to getting the frames back, built up and put in the window.
