Shimano Claris drivetrain
To drive the Maverick up the hills you need a good drivetrain, Raleigh have conquered this by issuing it up with the Claris 8 speed gear set. Its light action gear motion, triple chainset and wide range of gears allow you to battle the biggest hills or the longest roads.
Tektro Canti brakes
When loaded up with all the gear for touring you need to know that you can rely on your brakes stopping when they need too. So Raleigh have fitted up the Maverick with a set of Tektro 992 Oryx cantilever brakes. The classic canti design offers more than enough braking power when the bike is fully loaded or if you’re just popping to the shop. Supporting your confidence and allowing you to brake with ease and comfort.
RSP CX1.0 Wheelset
To keep the Maverick Tour rolling over those long and windy roads Raleigh have hooked up it up with a seat of RSP CX1.0, with sealed forged alloy hubs and 23mm cross section double-walled rims. These are a perfect set of wheels with the strength to battle miles of road but not feel like your lugging excess weight around. To finish the wheels of they are rapped with a pair of Schwalbe Spicer tyres. With their puncture protection layer this should hopefully reduce the chances of getting those frustrating punctures.
